The mind needs more than one avenue to express itself
Though I definitely have a preference in the medium I use most of the time, there are occasions when just one is not enough to express what I am trying to convey. There are numerous advantages to using mixed media, like allowing an artist to create depth within a work. It also gives the opportunity for an artist to experiment when feeling stuck within their normal medium.
