Within a three-year period before I turned 14 I lost my older brother to cancer and survived treatment myself. Now I compose works of art using geometric structures to create representations of fragile real-life flora and fauna that instill optimism and hope. I use the basic elements of art - color, shape, line, value, texture, space, and form - to explore personal interests ranging from ideologies to anatomy. The elements bring my thoughts to visual reality, constructing works that invite the viewer to recognize a universal image, like DNA, in a different way. In particular, I explore color nuances by using hand-mixed tints, tones, and shades to create depth within flat geometric structures. The elements remain the foundation of my artistic nature as I pursue unique approaches to creating balanced and unified compositions that celebrate the beauty of life.
